Buyers of luxury condos from out of state continue to seek out the downtown Salt Lake City market despite the pandemic. Restaurateurs have also opened up a number of new eateries in the city. It appears the Vegas food scene has discovered Salt Lake as well and is migrating north.
This summer, two well-known Las Vegas eateries opened up simultaneously on 200 South. The first, Nacho Daddy, famous for their gourmet nachos and real scorpions bathed in tequila shots, has an upscale sports bar vibe, perfect for casual dining, a date night, or even an afternoon business meeting. If you’re looking for something to please a foodie palette, you might want to dine next door to Nacho Daddy at Carson Kitchen, which also just opened this summer. Here you will find upscale comfort food served in both small plate size as well as full entrees, all of which can be paired with a sophisticated list of craft cocktails. This popular downtown Las Vegas eatery is sure to kick up the Salt Lake City glitz.
Finally, don’t miss Graffiti Bao… Renowned chef Marc Marrone has joined SkinnyFats (another Vegas transplant) with Graffiti Bao, a new fast-casual Chinese restaurant, inside HallPass, Utah’s first food hall located at The Gateway. After success with Graffiti Bao inside the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas strip, Marc brings his bold flavors to Salt Lake for city dwellers to explore and enjoy. A must try: the braised beef short rib bao buns.
Another benefit to living downtown…food delivery services will deliver any of the delights from these three new restaurants right to your door in minutes if you’re more in the mood to dine at home in your new condo!
